Parallax & Trails, Oh My!

When I started on Star Nomad earlier in the year, I was very mild in my expectations on it graphically, for the main reason that it was designed to be a cross-platform game so going overboard with graphics & effects would result in a slideshow on weaker devices.

But since Star Nomad 2 will be designed for PC/MAC first and foremost, I’ve played around with more graphics and learn a few handy image quality enhancements, some of which includes multiple parallax nebula layers and proper ship/missile trails:

As I develop new graphics & features, I’ll update it into Star Nomad. A major focus for SN2 is to make ship art a LOT better & cooler looking, so that I can be proud to match other 2D games on visual quality.
